By 2030, Tambov Oblast plans to significantly increase exports of agricultural products to $500 million (an increase of 1.5 times by 2021). This was reported by Acting Minister of Agriculture of Tambov Oblast Elena Ivannikova at a meeting of the operational headquarters for the implementation of national projects in the regional government.

We are talking about plans for the region to participate in the new national project "Export of agricultural products", which is designed until 2030. The region annually increases the volume of agricultural exports. This year, the target volume of export deliveries is envisaged at 340.2 million dollars. To achieve this figure, it is planned to increase the volume of exports of sunflower oil, sugar, flour, meat products and others.

According to the regional government, in the first eight months of 2024, Tambov enterprises exported products worth almost $174 million (more than 51% of the plan). This is 14% higher than the same period in 2023. Tambov enterprises exported sugar, molasses, and flour most of all.

Supplies of wheat, corn, barley, meat products, bran, legumes, and animal feed are also growing.

Tambov agricultural products are exported to 32 countries. The leaders shareholder database in purchases are the Republic of Uzbekistan, Türkiye, the Republic of Belarus, the People's Republic of China, and Afghanistan.

- We will continue to use various instruments of state support for business to reorient to friendly markets. Thus, this year, eight enterprises in the region received preferential loans for the implementation of investment projects and the purchase of raw materials for production. This measure of support for exporters is planned to be maintained in the future. In addition, work is already underway to develop trade and economic relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran, African countries, the People's Republic of China, and the Republic of Uzbekistan, - said Acting Minister of Agriculture of the Tambov Region Elena Ivannikova.
