The online presence of companies from the Fortune Global 100 has increased since 2010. That year, the organizations started using social media. Burson-Marsteller conducted research into the social media behavior of the Fortune Global 100 companies. In the third edition, the researchers investigated how they use the applications Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Google Plus and Pinterest. They show a summary of the results in the infographic below.
10 million times
The research shows that fans communicate a lot about the italy telegram data organizations online. The companies were mentioned more than 10 million times in one month. Fans post the most mentions on Twitter. In addition, the organizations are using YouTube more often than in other years. In 2012, 79 percent of the companies use a company channel on YouTube. In 2011, this was only 57 percent. On average, these channels are visited more than 2 million times and have 1,669 subscribers.
Engagement
Of the corporate accounts on Twitter, 79 percent of companies try to respond to retweets and mentions. On Facebook, 70 percent respond to comments that fans post on the company page. More than 90 percent of organizations update their Facebook page weekly. The companies on the Fortune 100 list are also increasingly using multiple accounts on social media. On average, the organizations have 10.1 Twitter accounts, 10.4 Facebook pages, 8.1 YouTube channels and 2.6 Google Plus pages.
