WHAT IS THIS FAMOUS EXCLUSION ?
Simply put, exclusion means removing from the target group someone we do not want in it.
It used to be done a bit differently. You would choose an interest group, for example Luxury Goods (assuming that you are reaching a better or richer part of the population in this way), and then you would remove people from that group like: Nobility Does Not Work, Higher School of Showmanship and Bansu, etc.
In short, people who leave comments like "Septic tank" under ads for more expensive saudi arabia rcs data items mean that you need to clean up after them regularly.
From my perspective, not necessarily.
Especially since the algorithm is able to handle something like that. Besides, every negative comment works a little to our advantage, because it increases the reach of our ad.
But let's get to the point.
What is exclusion? To better illustrate, I suggest a short exercise. Treat it as homework after this episode:
Prepare a list of interests that you typically use in each ad set. Write them down on a piece of paper or paste them as a note.
Then launch the detailed targeting options and enter one interest of your choice.
Do this without setting any other targeting options. We're just messing around with this one tab.
Look at what your potential reach will be, the size of your potential audience. It'll probably be a few million, but that's good. We're working with big numbers right now to show a trend.
Once you have that number in mind, click the “Exclude” option, which is the little blue text right below the targeting option.
In the exclusions section, enter a second interest that you use in another ad group, for example.
Is this a good way?
