Education journalists and European MBA directors.

Post by Suborna »

From recent discussions at the EFMD MBA Directors meeting, we learned that European MBAs are highly relevant in the business world. When comparing comments on the value of an MBA, organizations such as Novartis and Andersen made it clear that the choice of an MBA recruit depends to a large extent on the graduate's previous experience, the quality of the school, and the individual's suitability for the specific environment. At the same meeting, there was an intense debate on the scientific validity of rankings between leading business

There is a clear trend towards an increased demand for executive brother cell phone list and part-time MBAs, and ICT applications are a key element. For example, the Paris-based HEC School of Management offers an "MBA Discussion Forum" where potential candidates, alumni, professors and staff discuss in real time. The Internet is also an integral part of 'live case studies' at most European schools. Intranet and extranet facilities are constantly providing services for admissions, recruitment and information on campus, from courses to informal social activities. In addition, the latest technological applications are making a big difference in research activities and internationalization opportunities.

Apart from the added value of ICT applications, an important factor is still the learning and sharing of “people” in a business school. Innovative faculty who change the way people think and good students who actively participate in the MBA program make it a unique experience. Or in the words of Angel Cabrera, Dean of the Instituto de Empresa in Madrid: “The main pillars for the training of future managers in I.E. are innovation, a responsible entrepreneurial spirit, academic excellence and a commitment to new technologies.”

The two main reasons why people obtain an MBA qualification are “opening up new career opportunities” and “personal development”. Ultimately, prospective students have no doubts about the success they will have in rising both in rank and salary in the corporate world.
