What can distract from the message

Post by asimj1 »

After Federal Councillor Alain Berset was interviewed by a tattooed presenter, a storm raged in the media ( persoenlich.com reported ). In my opinion, the following lessons can be learned from this story:

There is no dress code for journalists. Nevertheless, all professionals who have contact with the public should remain aware that it is worth avoiding anything that makes communication difficult or disruptive. When making media appearances, I always recommend avoiding anything that distracts from the message.

For this reason, television had – years ago – required cambodia rcs data presenters to refrain from wearing piercings in front of the camera or to remove their nose rings during their appearance. It is well known that external appearances can irritate consumers.

The dress code at banks is understandable. We don't need to read books about dress code. The advice is enough:

- The outfit and clothing must always suit the situation. Nobody goes to a funeral in their sportswear. And a tuxedo is out of place in your free time.

- The clothing should suit me, suit my skin color and be well-groomed.

- I also have to feel comfortable in my clothes.

Journalists often get a bad rap when it comes to clothing. It is a sin of style for a journalist to interview the Federal President wearing a T-shirt with a large slogan on it. Many media professionals are not aware that you shouldn't wear the same worn-out sneakers for weeks on end. Journalists in the Federal Palace are often seen who simply don't want to part with their favorite worn-out outdoor jacket.
