Once you've figured out where your audience is, what can you do to generate ideas and create relevant content?

Once you've spent some time watching and listening, you'll get a sense of the types of questions these users are asking and their problems. See which content is most popular, which generates the most interest, comments, shares, views and likes.

Create a spreadsheet of the most interesting conversations to help you locate relevant information and spot trends in your audience's comments. Jot down information like:

The question
The topic
The demographic profile or keywords used
The interest generated by the question (low | medium | high | very high)
The group or page where the question was asked
The frequency of this question
Observations
Upvotes/Likes
Comments
Shares
This information will help you quickly determine what content is worth writing.

Observe, engage, and build your reputation by bringing your expertise to relevant conversations, and through targeted responses, gain even deeper insights about your audience that you can use again and again.

4. Determine exactly what the user needs to know
Once you have identified specific behaviors in conversations and the questions asked, software managers email database you need to determine exactly what the user needs.

For example, let's say your audience is made up of marketers who work at small businesses. They might be wondering why their social media content isn't getting the reach they want. When you monitor what they're doing, you see that they're posting links to their content, but getting very little engagement.

Therefore, they want to convert their social media activity into traffic to their website.

The key is to identify whether this problem is deeper than it appears at first glance, or whether they don’t know what “reach” means within the marketing funnel.

From there, you can develop a content strategy that explores the consumer journey: what it is, how it works, and the different stages it includes. This will allow your target audience to become familiar with the concepts of reach and engagement, and learn how to write social media posts that will most appeal to their potential customers. You can also create content on how to apply relevant metrics to optimize social media marketing activities.

The key to writing engaging content is developing a detailed strategy geared toward solving consumer problems , rather than writing about isolated topics.
