How to advertise on TikTok?

Post by tongfkymm44 »

In early 2019, TikTok began rolling out ads to some viewers on the platform. And it has proven to be a huge success for businesses.

Ads are pre-roll (similar to ads before a YouTube video) and last between 10 and 15 seconds. Like on YouTube, ads can be skipped within a few seconds and advertisers pay for impressions.

There are currently three types of ads available on TikTok:

Brand Takeover Ads

Five-second, full-screen, static or animated ads that appear when a user clinical nurse specialist email database first opens the TikTok app. These brand takeover ads direct users to a TikTok webpage or account. This ad type has a limited number of advertisers per day in each country and can reportedly cost up to $50,000 per campaign.

In-Feed Native Video Ads

Auto-playing full-screen ads that appear between user-generated content videos. Like Instagram story ads, these ads will link users to a landing page or app store.

Branded Hashtag Challenges

As mentioned above, these are pieces of content generated by brands or companies associated with a promoted hashtag. The goal is to attract users to create videos on the topic and share them. These videos are part of a brand takeover ad or built-in native ad packages.

According to TikTok, more than 90% of the platform's users visit it several times a day, making it very attractive for businesses.

Can you make money on TikTok?
Currently, there is no direct way for TikTok users to capitalize on their popularity through the app. Since the view volume is incredibly high, most users will ask their audience to visit other platforms or websites to monetize.

TikTok allows each account to share their Instagram and Youtube links on their profile, making it easier to gain cross-followers.

The main goal for brands on TikTok is to attract a new audience. While big brands do this well, it is unclear whether smaller companies can achieve the same on the platform although the evolution of mobile marketing on platforms like Instagram and Snapchat has shown that anything is possible with the right audience.

For anyone with a business or personal brand that produces video content, it’s worth joining and experimenting with TikTok. As the app grows in reach, its ability to advertise and promote is likely to become a big part of the ecosystem.
