With the flood of data in an almost 100% digital world, data protection in organizations is a requirement to operate and survive.
Since the new General Data Protection Regulation came into force , more and more companies and organizations have shown their need to protect the information they possess and grant privacy to the corresponding data. Added to all this is the concern to protect information through social networks and comply with the large number of regulations that have been emerging at a regional and state level.

The impact of this regulation is more than evident in organizations and the greater requirements regarding data protection give rise to more comprehensive approaches, such as cyber resilience , when implementing security solutions and programs.

How have we noticed this impact?
At the state and regional level, the problem of data protection has been tackled with the appearance of new laws that have organised the sector. However, this great wave of regulations is not the only thing that shows us that the data protection law has impacted organisations around the world. Without going any further, the International line database of Privacy Professionals (IAPP) has grown by leaps and bounds and has a greater number of associated professionals. Informative talks or conferences on this subject have also become common.

On the other hand, new laws were introduced such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CaCPA) related to the protection of data of organisations' customers. In a related way, the Japanese government and the European Commission developed a joint statement addressing how to carry out transfers of personal data in a secure and international manner .

The United States, the world's largest power, is also considering creating a National Privacy Law that is unique for the entire country. It can therefore be seen that many movements related to data protection are taking place in companies.

In recent years, following the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic and the increased use of virtual tools in Argentina , the Specialized Cybercrime Prosecutor's Unit issued recommendations to operate safely on the web and prevent crimes in the digital environment.

Cyber resilience: a novel approach to cybersecurity
Both organizations and companies are demanding that data protection laws be followed. In this regard, the new approach to cyber resilience is gaining ground in companies, that is, developing the capacity to prepare and respond efficiently to system failures, maintaining the trust of the environment, business continuity and avoiding economic and reputational losses.

In fact, this action is very important for organizations since the customer's purchasing experience is not so much related to price, but to the trust generated by the company . And this can only be achieved by using specific techniques, methods and programs to protect their data.
