Although buying AR glasses from Snapchat is just starting to roll out, this technology is expected to extend to other products and categories in the coming months.
Ben Schwerin, Snap's Senior Vice President of Partnerships, suggests in a statement that thanks to the combined innovation of Snap and Amazon, new and fun shopping experiences are being explored, aimed at hundreds of millions of Snapchat users.
Schwerin also says the trial glasses are the first step in this partnership, and he can’t wait to make the next innovation. Amazon says it has invested in AR shopping experiences and sees Snap as the perfect partner to scale those efforts.
According to Muge Erdirik Dogan, President of Amazon Fashion, millions of customers are purchasing products across all categories using AR technology on Amazon. Erdirik Dogan says that virtual try-on of glasses has been a long-time customer favorite.
Amazon Fashion's President says he is very pleased with this partnership and hopes to further expand AR shopping so that brands can earn more from this proposition and users can shop more comfortably this way.
However, representatives of both companies have not yet commented on the duration of this newly established partnership.
Other initiatives to buy through AR
Amazon recently talked about its plans to expand its augmented reality offering, wit bosnia and herzegovina mobile phone number list h the launch of a new virtual shoe-trying experience, which was announced in June 2022.

Of course, Amazon had previously only announced the purchase of furniture and other items using AR technology. However, it is not entirely clear whether augmented reality guarantees increased conversions on Amazon.
In any case, Amazon wants to continue testing AR technology, as users of the newer generations are more than happy to buy products online , especially if they don't have to leave their home or their workstation.
So, this could be part of the reason why Amazon is looking for external partners to offer AR shopping platforms. Therefore, we should all be prepared for whatever innovations Amazon and Snap have in store for us next.
