After introducing the ability to create patterns or templates directly during the editing process, more in-depth features and various improvements are planned for WordPress 6.4:

Adding Categories
Improved compatibility for non-block-based themes
Further development of the state of empty categories on the sample page
footnotes
WordPress 6.3 introduced the footnote block, which will be further improved with the new update:

Easier to add font, size and border for the block
Easier to add links, background colors and text colors
Checking that the result also works with custom post types
Future-oriented work with WordPress
With the updates, WordPress is working to ensure that all website operators worldwide have the simplest and most intuitive experience possible with the content management system. Existing functions are also viber database being improved to always keep the future in mind. This is also made clear by the leadership work on WordPress 6.4: The development of WordPress 6.4 is led entirely by a team of women, non-binary and gender-broadcasting contributors.

WordPress 6.4 will be the last major update in 2023. But: The update also marks the start of Phase 3 of Gutenberg, the Collaboration Phase . This third phase is about collaboration in WordPress, such as writing together on a post or page. The CMS aims to improve user-friendliness in order to promote smooth collaboration in WordPress and to strengthen the processes for managing content. Particular attention will be paid to optimizing the interface between developers and other team members.

A lot has happened with Gutenberg since WordPress 5.0. One big change, for example, was the introduction of blocks in the Gutenberg editor. The blocks can be inserted simply by dragging and dropping, similar to a website builder, in order to create a website exactly as you imagine it. WordPress has increasingly focused on flexibility and simplicity.

After the collaboration phase that we are currently in with WordPress 6.4, there will be a final phase that will focus on the multilingualism of a website. We will report on this in our magazine in due course. What do you think of the planned changes in WordPress 6.4? We look forward to your comments.
