The social network LinkedIn has just taken a leap forward in great importance for certain groups such as students and will soon become a key tool in choosing a university.
LinkedIn has launched specific pages for universities , you can see it at
Although these pages may seem similar to company pages at first glance, the reality is that they go much further. Universities can have their own LinkedIn page. What is interesting, however, is that LinkedIn uses its database of social network profiles to link them to the university page. This way, we can find out what those who have been members of a university do, what sectors kuwait telegram data they work in or what companies they work in, where they live, or what type of job they have. In other words, we can see what job opportunities each university offers, which ones are worth going to and which ones are not.
This is undoubtedly a great tool for future students to choose a university. It is also, without a doubt, an excellent channel to access LinkedIn profiles of people who have studied at a specific university for a specific year and who now live in a specific city, for which LinkedIn offers a multitude of search filters.
If we access, for example, the LinkedIn page of the University of Barcelona, we can obtain information on 80,803 profiles, find out that Novartis, with 169 students and alumni, is the private company that has generated the most jobs for students from the University of Barcelona, or that the education sector, followed by sales and commercial, are the most common.
The university page template is the same for all of them. At the design level, it includes a logo and header photo like almost all social networks. But it also allows them to offer updated information about university news and activities, to ask questions, and to participate both with the university community and with alumni.
