Contact with the whole world

Before he falls asleep in the evening, he listens to the Radio 1 app on his iPhone. Unfortunately, the fragments and guide are currently not visible in that app due to a bug. The makers have received a tweet from my son, asking if they can fix it quickly. They are not the only ones he is trying to contact. Jonathan Reis of PSV has of course received an email after his annoying injury. And he tweets just as easily with Australian cricketer Shane Warne . He does not hesitate to send the world-famous star a message in his own broken English.
At school, he is the one who helps the teacher when the computer portugal phone number list crashes. He explains to his friends how to make a good presentation in PowerPoint. And when I am working on a Tuesday afternoon while he is already home from school, I get a message. “Hi mom, why are you tweeting with dad, but not responding to my Skype?”
Reading books? Or media-savvy and worldly-wise!
I think back to myself at the age of eleven. I read a lot, but the weekly trip to the local library was already quite a journey for me. I addressed teachers at school politely with U, I filled in lessons according to the rules. I read a lot, but learned less and could do much less. I was less worldly-wise, less media-wise. Taking my own initiative, discovering the world? That was still far from being the case when I was eleven. I read a lot, but my world was so much smaller than my son's. My son no longer reads books. But I don't see that as a problem!
