Social games are hot. Just look at the use of Farmville and Mafiawars on Facebook. These games are made in many variations. Bossa Studios believes that the real social element in these games is still missing. Bossa Studios is going to do this differently and better by letting users play games with each other in real time. How Bossa Studios is going to approach this and what their social games look like, was not presented. It remained unclear what the real purpose of their games is.
Charity engine
2 billion computers in the world do not use 100% of their computer power. Charity engine would like to use a piece of this power and bundle the computers, so that a large network of computers is created. This network can be used for scientific research. Think of it as a supercomputer that used to be used for this research, but then many times more powerful. This is also called ' volunteer computing '. Half of the proceeds from the research goes to a good cause, the other half is distributed among the users of Charity engine as soon as 1 million is available.
