You have found a nice website and you want to share it with all your followers on Twitter as soon as possible. To check how often people click on it, you also want to shorten the URL via Bit.ly. Of course, you can manually copy the URL, shorten it and then paste it into Tweetdeck, Hootsuite or Twitter, but this can all be a lot easier if you use Chrome.
Bit.ly released a handy extension a while ago that places a button next to the URL iran phone number list bar in Chrome. When you press this button, Bit.ly automatically shortens the URL you currently have open and copies the title of the website you are on. You can then share the link immediately or copy it to another program. If you don't want to use the title of the website you are sharing, select the relevant piece of text before pressing the button. The extension will then use the selected text as the text for the tweet. Of course, you can always manually edit the text before sharing it.
A feature that was recently added is the option to copy a link with your right mouse button and shorten it immediately. This makes sharing a shortened link really easy. Another positive side effect is that if you have your own domain to shorten URLs at bit.ly, the browser extension will use your own domain.
