As for common myths about bats, you can often hear the following about them:
sit on white - in fact, bats do not react to white, as well as to any other color. And the interest in white is explained by the fact that these animals hunt insects, which often circle around white surfaces;
they can cling to hair - in reality, bats are not at all attracted to hair, however, they can fly quite close to a person, which again is explained by their hunting for insects;
They fly towards the light – another myth, which is connected with the fact that midges usually circle under street lamps.
But, despite this, precautions must, of course, be taken, namely, do not try to catch the animal with bare hands, as it can bite or scratch you. If such an incident occurs, wash the wound with home owner data and water and immediately consult a doctor.
Bats rarely fly onto a balcony or even into an apartment. And if they do, it is only one individual. Therefore, there is usually no talk of any kind of struggle - it is enough to simply catch the animal and release it into freedom.
I recently had to face a similar situation myself. From my experience I will say that if you see a bat flying onto a balcony or even into an apartment, do not let it out of your sight. The thing is that with folded paws (wings) these animals are very small and at the same time they try to hide in any suitable crack.
If you lose sight of the animal, you risk not finding it at all until it appears before your eyes. So, while I went to get a rag, the mouse managed to hide, after which I had to look for it for several hours in a row, and, what is most offensive - completely unsuccessfully.
To lure the little animal out, we had to turn off the lights, open the windows and leave the room. After a while, the mouse flew out on its own. However, for some reason, it didn't fly out the window, but just circled helplessly around the room.
I recently caught this mouse in my apartment.
