We continue to improve internal chats - in this release we have added many useful features that will make communication with colleagues in Chat2Desk even more convenient.
Editing and deleting messages
Two important and useful features: to make communication in correspondence with colleagues more comfortable, we added the ability to edit and delete your messages in case something was sent with an error or by mistake.
Changing or deleting is done using the context menu - just right-click on the message and select the desired option.
If you want to undo changes or deletions, you will need to confirm this action to avoid accidentally breaking anything.
Lifehack: you can quickly edit the last message you sent by pressing the up arrow ⬆︎ on your keyboard.
Message management is available for 24 hours from the moment of sending.
Pinning messages in chats and dialogs in the general list
To make it easier to navigate work correspondence, we have introduced a mechanism for pinning messages and dialogues in the chat list.
Pinning messages in chat :
Operators can pin up to 10 messages . Messages are pinned for all chat bosnia and herzegovina whatsapp data participants, sorted by time of sending, and displayed in a separate block at the top of the list. Click on this block to view them individually.
Pinned messages are updated in real time for all participants.
Pinning chats to the dialog list :
You can pin up to 10 chats ; they will be displayed above the general list of all conversations. Pinned chats can be sorted manually by dragging and dropping - the changed sorting will be saved in the custom order.
Pinned chats are automatically moved to a place in the list without reloading the page. You can unpin a chat either through the button inside the dialog or through the context menu in the general list of chats.
Quoting messages
Now you can reference any message in a chat – this feature allows you to quote a colleague to remind them of the context, clarify details, and maintain a connection to previous discussions. You won’t lose important moments in the correspondence, and at the same time you will be able to quickly find the original message.
To quote, double-click or right-click on the left or right side of the message and select Reply from the context menu . The quoted message will then appear above the input field. Then enter your reply and send it – your message with the quote from your interlocutor will appear in the chat.
Operator statuses
The chat list, chat header and selectors display operator statuses in different colors:
Green : operator online.
Red : the operator is online, but, for example, his status is set to "Do not disturb".
Gray : operator is offline.
Typing notifications
When your interlocutor is writing a message, the Operator is typing notification is displayed in the message list and in the conversation list in real time .
Draft messages
If the operator starts writing a message or attaches an attachment but does not send them, the draft is saved. Even if the operator switches to another dialog and then returns to the chat, they will see the unsent message or attachments. The draft is saved until the page is refreshed - this will help to avoid data loss.
The badge will also display the current status of this message - for example, Sent or Not delivered . If the last message was incoming, the status is not displayed in the badge.
Setting up display of operator name in widget
Now the widget can display only the operator's name without the last name. This setting will help protect the personal data of employees and make communication with clients more private.
There is a new switch in the widget settings. You can choose one of two modes in the section Settings > Widget and online chat > Show operator name :
Name + Surname
Just a name
By default, the First Name + Last Name mode is selected .
