Social networks and streaming services have understood this well and are (re)promoting their “ co-watching ” tools: Facebook Watch Party, Instagram Co-Watching , Netflix Party , Amazon and Twitch Parties , we all find ourselves watching a program, like in the good old days in front of the TV. Except that we also have the possibility of interacting. Twitter is also getting into live streaming. Some media outlets do not hesitate to “hijack” these tools to take advantage of their ability to create connections. Tarmac, the RTBF digital platform aimed at 15-25 year-olds, has invested in the Twitch platform (usually intended for an audience fond of sports and gaming) to broadcast its show Lockdown .

This creates a new group session, which you can share via a link with your friends or family.
On the sports side , competitions are even being recreated virtually: VRT, the Belgian Flemish television, had real athletes race in virtual settings for a 100% digital Tour of Flanders .
