The internal roadmap

Post by rifattryo.ut11 »

I think the definition of intelligence will continue to evolve. But what's also important is its impact on society and how quickly it actually demonstrates. Moderator: Based on this definition, when do you think it will be achieved? Is the number of years accurate? : I would say that within the next decade we will have extremely advanced systems. Moderator: But people are concerned about the discussion between safety and products. Google was founded with two goals: to help humanity and to pursue huge economic benefits. I think you might be somewhere in between.

Last week, current and former Google israel phone numbers and Google employees jointly issued an open letter calling on the company to allow them to warn about the risks of advanced technology. This is not new. Google and Microsoft employees have also signed open letters, whether working with senior departments, etc. But in this case, the employees said that "extensive non-disclosure agreements prevented us from expressing concerns and the company may not be able to address them." Basically, it means that we can't tell you what the risks are but everyone may encounter disasters. What is your response to this? People are worried about retaliation and I don't want to talk about the stock issue because I know you apologized and corrected this.

But if they have concerns, shouldn't they be allowed to express them? I know different people have different views. : Of course we think the debate is very important, and it's also very important to be able to express these concerns openly and discuss safety issues. We have been very open about the issue of disinformation since the founding of , and this was one of the issues we worked on early on. The technology has advanced incredibly quickly over the past few years, and it's been faster than we expected, which has also increased people's general anxiety about society's preparedness.
