The fact that this atrophy is taking place at a newspaper like the "Tages-Anzeiger" right down to the sluggish culture department is proof that the editors, tormented by fears of downsizing and layoffs, are now cold-bloodedly violating even the most basic journalistic rules in order to secure their pathetic "fifteen minutes of fame". And an open discussion in which they can put forward their "best arguments", they chicken out. That's pretty pathetic, I think.

The Romans took it more calmly: Errare humanum est. I realized morocco rcs data this again when I watched the French and Swiss giving it their all in football - only to end up with a 0:0 draw. I knew immediately: football is so popular because it celebrates the most fundamental human thing: failure. In a world that is obsessed with efficiency and perfection, with optimization and progress, football offers itself as a grandiose school of futility, a celebration of stupendous inefficiency, a ritual of typically male renunciation of optimization.

If you don't look closely, you might think that the ball is constantly being shot at the goal. You think that's the whole point of the game. But it happens extremely rarely. In the aforementioned game against France, the Swiss stormed heroically, but never shot at the goal. Not once. And they were praised afterwards - for all the attacks that got stuck along the way, for all the pointless 70-meter sprints, for the tough tackles, for the monstrous, futile effort.
