The best of both worlds

It was one of those events that dealt with media policy, the SRG and private publishers. The moderator introduced me as a person who had gone from being a friend of the SRG to being a critic of the SRG. I didn't deny it right away at the time, but I want to use these lines to correct it, that is: neither to deny it completely nor to confirm it completely.
I was and am neither a friend nor an opponent japan rcs data of this institution. Both would seem rather ridiculous to me, after all, you cannot build up a "friendship" or "enmity" with state-run companies such as SRG, SBB or Post. They are simply federal companies that you can criticize or praise for their work. As a federal parliamentarian, however, you are also partly responsible for these institutions - a dimension that goes beyond the Swiss consumer, the taxpayer or fee payer, and indeed must go beyond it: As a citizen, I am interested in the service, the quality, but as a politician I am also interested in the mission of these companies, its execution and management. Politics cannot and must not concern itself too much with questions of the "quality" of content, since the definition of quality is subjective and normative. Instead, one should focus on tender orders, service goals and financing. But both politicians and customers should be critical.
