Basic Thoughts on Determining Search Intent
I am always amazed at how little SEOs concern themselves with guatemala phone number data the search intent of keywords and their identification, despite the clear advice in the Google Quality Rater Guidelines. For me, it has been a central topic in search engine marketing from the very beginning , especially in view of the increasing importance of user signals in organic ranking.

When I first saw the Quality Rater Guidelines in 2011, I noticed the recurring reference to searcher intent (more on the Quality Rater Guidelines here: The Google Quality Rater Guidelines & What SEOs can learn from them ).

Of course, before that, especially when placing AdWords ads, people had already been concerned with the different search intentions behind a keyword according to the classic model of informational , transactional , navigational and brand . But the information in the Quality Rater Guidelines made the relationship between the search intention and the landing page purpose and thus also the ranking even clearer.

Google clearly states in its guidelines that search evaluators must first understand the search intent behind a keyword before proceeding with evaluating search results.
