A few days ago, while checking a friend’s cell phone, I noticed that he had created his Google Plus account but with no activity on it (and no friends added), so I asked him, did you have “Google Plus”? and he, with the most surprised face in the world, answered: “And what do you eat that with?”

After her reaction, I asked myself, How? In some sectors Google Plus is essential, but in others, it is almost (and only) “something that was created with my Gmail account that I created to configure my Android Smartphone.”

In fact, Google Plus is gaining more and more followers and users every day, but who are these users?

I would say that we already mentioned the first ones (people like my friend who only created their Google account out of necessity for Android); so the next ones we should mention are those of us who work for a company and have all networks blocked, except… you guessed it, Google Plus.

Second on the list are those who are looking to improve the web finland number dataset of their business, that is, those who have a business and created the profile as part of the “fashion” for social networks, but do not use it frequently.

We also have the real users, that is, those who really use it, we have a network of interesting contacts, and of course we have managed to adapt to communities, circles and so on.

And finally, I think we should not avoid mentioning fake profiles (of which there are many), that is, the live ones (who believe themselves to be) and create profiles in search of publicity or as part of “positioning strategies”.

This is how we see the following diagram (courtesy of globalwebindex ), where we can see the average number of active users according to 5 of the most famous social networks.

As we can see in the table, inactive users are 56%, which is a fairly high figure if we compare it with the 38% of non-active users on Facebook.

Some of the advantages of Google Plus for web positioning:
Now that we know the most common types of users we can find on Google Plus, we can talk about how this network can help us position our website. In reality, and more than advantages for positioning, what Google Plus offers us is a platform for promotion and added value for our company (and also as a user).
