A media campaign allows you to reach your target audience, increase brand awareness, and announce the release of a new product, promotions, and special offers.

The Yandex network uses the following types of video advertising, depending on their placement location:

Streaming video (multi-roll, InStream) – included in video content and shown at the beginning, middle or after the video.

Video in content (InPage) – integrated into the medical mail list page content, making up one of its integral elements.

In-app video (Interstitial) – runs before content loads in the app or when the app changes.

Rewarded video – the user is offered to watch the video and receive a reward for it, which can be spent within the service. You can refuse, but in this case the bonus is not awarded.

Video in a native block (InBanner) – shown in a banner on the mobile application screen.

There are also extensive settings for the target audience - by gender, age, interests, location, etc.

To launch a campaign, you need to select the “Media campaign” option.

Payment is debited from the balance for each video display for two seconds or more. The player window must occupy at least 50% of the screen. There is also an option to limit the number of displays per user.

Campaign settings include manual bid management and three preset strategies:

The highest number of impressions at the lowest cost. This allows you to evenly spend your weekly campaign budget.

Reducing the cost of repeated showings. If a video is shown to one user several times, the cost of each subsequent showing is less than the previous one.

Pay per views. Provides the largest number of video views on popular advertising platforms. As of November 2021, the feature was available in beta testing mode.

Please note! It is necessary to set up collection of the audience that watched the video. This is necessary for preparing retargeting campaigns. It is possible to form user segments by the following events: full viewing, viewing 75%, 50%, 25% of the total duration of the video. These groups are automatically added to Yandex. Audiences.

There are a number of technical requirements for the video:

formats – AVI, MP4, QT, FLV, WebM, MOV;

volume no more than 100 megabytes;

duration – 5–60 seconds (for unskippable videos – no more than 15 seconds);

screen aspect ratio – 3:1; 2:1; 1:1; 3:4; 4:5; 9:16; 1.9:1; 16:9; 4:3; 1.91:1; 1:2; 1:3;

resolution – minimum 640 x 360 pixels.

It is also possible to set up the display of unskippable 15-second videos. To do this, you need to activate the corresponding function in the ad group settings. This option has an increased cost. The preliminary cost of the display is estimated depending on the settings used.
