Over-optimized metadata
Metadata full of little piggiesYes, the meta title is a ranking factor . And yes, you should include your keyword here. And only once. What you shouldn't do, however, is force your keyword or secondary search terms into the title and description, like this, for example:

You'll very rarely find such snippets on the first page of search results. I had to click through to the fourth page of search results to find this example. Don't make the same mistake. Instead, use the space to provide a brief summary of your content and its benefits.
