Not online, not offline, but transmedia!

Zorn Uitgeverij also proves the power of offline with 'Ik eet het beter' by Albert Heijn and the Voedingscentrum. Children learn about healthy food with a combination of digiboard, offline material and a real class lunch. Because healthy food and drink, you have to be able to see, smell, feel and taste.

Liesbeth Hop (Media Makkers) shouts from the central stage into the audience: “Transmedia storytelling is the new way of communicating with children.” But uh… weren’t we already doing that? Maybe, but it can be even better! And that proof is absolutely delivered in a presentation of Little Red Riding Hood, told in 10 different ways, styles, levels and via every conceivable media. Tip for the marketer: if you want to reach children, start with a good story. And once you have this story, the trick is to spread all the parts of the story across different media, so that children have to search for themselves and find a piece of the story every time… The presentation by Maarten Verkoren and Serge Van Eyck (Walt Disney) ties in seamlessly with this: it’s all about the content!

Great online marketing case!
The same Disney men show a stunningly fun online marketing case a nigeria phone number list little later. Disney had discovered that there was a very large group of fans of 80s commercials active on the internet. For the introduction of a new character they therefore chose to make an authentic 80s commercial, in which children are seen very happy with a cuddly toy of the character. They had only added one comment: 'I totally had one of these when I was young'. Immediately a lively discussion started about the character. Who was it, who had had him before? Did anyone still have him? And when Disney introduced the new character, he already had his own story and an online fan club.
