It is clear that the Syrian people are far from celebrating peace

Post by Rina7RS »

On the streets of Damascus, the victors sang and danced to celebrate their freedom.

But behind the laughter and joy, the bloodshed has not decreased.

Alawite Shiites and former government military and political personnel who supported the Assad family were killed in large numbers; women who had been "secularized" for many years were required to wear headscarves when going out again...

While Syria was busy eliminating dissidents and reestablishing usa phone number list order, Israeli troops next door took the opportunity to move down from the Golan Heights, further occupy the buffer zone and advance towards Damascus.

Facing Israel, the new regime, like the Assad regime before it, has hardly organized any effective resistance...

A fragile peace

For the land of Syria, peace is always just a temporary situation of compromise.

When the parties can no longer compromise, war becomes the norm.

Why can't the Assad government hold on?

The superficial reasons are varied, but the bottom line is that there is no money and the basic situation cannot be maintained.
