The key to reorganizing the world of work?

Post by Shishirgano9 »

In the cultural field, Cuseum offers to move works of art from museums to individuals' walls via the [AR] T Museum application and its augmented reality functionality Museum from home.

“Given the COVID-19 pandemic and the many museum closures around the world, the need to create an alternative way to experience art and culture has never been greater,” said Brendan Ciecko, CEO and Founder of Cuseum.

Brendan Ciecko theorizes that augmented reality (AR) and botim database virtual reality (VR) technologies can provide an experience that is just as immersive and neurologically stimulating as viewing original artwork in a museum or gallery, according to a study conducted in collaboration with MIT's Dr. Pawan Sinha.

On the sports side, TV broadcasters and sports clubs are developing a digital strategy to retain their audience during the lockdown. With the NBA, the company Second Spectrum is working on augmented reality filters to present a match in "coach mode", with tactical notions, or in "mascot mode" with fun animations. The multiplication of narrative threads thanks to digital innovations (augmented reality, virtual reality, 5G) would also make it possible to engage the audience over a longer period than just the day of the sporting event.

The deconfinement is gradual. Videoconferencing and teleworking remain the norm for many professionals. The health crisis seems to have had a lasting impact on the organization of the world of work, and augmented reality could play a role in the post-covid era.

In May 2020, the start-up Spatial made its immersive meeting app available for free . This collaborative work tool can transform any environment into an immersive space in which several users can work together, remotely and in 3D. Meeting participants appear as personalized avatars (from a photo taken by smartphone), while non-immersive users connect via Zoom video call . They can share and annotate any type of file by displaying them on a virtual wall.
