15 proven tips for creating a monthly organic social media post plan in no time
A good 10 years ago, when the social network Facebook was created, the first companies and brands recognized this platform as an opportunity for free communication with users.
This greatly affected and changed the entire marketing industry. From 2007 to around 2010, everyone who used the Facebook platform for free communication enjoyed high reach and user engagement (comments, likes, shares, clicks) and it was very easy to see which content was working and which was not.
If the posts were interesting, the audience responded. Over time, new communication platforms came onto the market. This also fragmented the users. The trend changed and it became very difficult to be active and effective on all existing channels. This is how paid posts appeared.
However, my opinion is that it is necessary to have both paid and organic posts.
Today I will focus on organic posts (free posts). Using organic posts on social media is a good way to maintain a brand's online presence and build brand awareness and community in the long term.
I believe that with a good plan and advance planning, you can still achieve pretty good reach even with organic posts.
Know your followers and define your business goals:
What do they like?
What are they interested in?
What pain represents to them,
What are their most important questions?
Knowing your followers will also make it easier to prepare posts. Also, define your business goals , what you want to achieve and by when . This is where my free marketing plan template can help you.
1. Announcement: FIRST or SECOND?
Prepare a post with a choice question – FIRST or SECOND option? Ask your followers to tell you which option they would choose. You really have a lot of options here. I'm sure you'll find something that works for you.
EXAMPLE: Which styling is to your taste?
2. Announcement: ABCD of choices
Another very similar post is ABCD Choices. Post 4 different choices and ask your followers what they would choose. You can also take a different tack and ask them what they would get rid of or what they absolutely don't like.
EXAMPLE: Which wedding dress did you like the most?
3. Post: Testimonials from satisfied customers
I can't tell you how much a post like this is welcome. It could be a post on Facebook from a happy customer that you link to your business. It could be an email you received and you share a screenshot of the email, or a screenshot of a message a happy customer sent you.
Extra tip: If you receive a really long testimonial, take a really powerful sentence from it and create a graphic in Canva. You can post the entire testimonial, but add a graphic that just emphasizes the point. This will encourage your followers to read the entire post.
EXAMPLE: Statement from a satisfied customer
4. Post: Story
You can post a story about yourself, it can be a story about your employees, it can be accountants mailing list a story about your customer with the aim of telling your followers why your service or product is so special. 6. Disclosure: Transparency
A very important thing that is often overlooked. Publishing the prices of your services. Many people look for quotes online and often get stuck because there are no published prices for services or products anywhere. Why not publish this? Why do we want to hide how much our services or product cost so much?
Of course, this doesn't just relate to prices, it can also be an announcement about how someone can start working with you, where you manufacture your products... For example, if your products are entirely manufactured in Slovenia, tell your customers that.
7. Post: Product Details
Describe the materials your products are made of or the tools you use. If you are in a digital business, share what tools you use or introduce the tool that is your favorite and helps you a lot in your work.
If you sell products, you can tell what materials you use, why you chose those materials, or present the tools you use to make these products.
People are interested in where your products come from and what they are made of.
8. Announcement: Customer/Company Function
Introduce your customer, you can introduce them personally, you can tell how you helped them with your service, the aim is to keep the attention on the customer, who will feel great if you praise them publicly. This way you create a "loop" so that your customer will also want to share your post, which means that even more people will see the post.
You can also feature a local business and tell them what they've accomplished. People love to be praised. Why not give someone a compliment and make their day?
9. Post: Quick Tips
Quick tips are one of my favorite posts. You probably have a lot of tips based on your personal experiences in the business you do. Why not share them with your audience.
It can be just one short piece of advice (one sentence). You can help someone a lot with just one sentence and they will be happy to follow you or even recommend you to someone else.
EXAMPLE: Infographic
10. Post: Frequently Asked Questions
Another good choice for posting is – FAQs. You can get good content for your posts from the frequently asked questions you receive. At least once a month, post an answer to the most common question your customers ask you.
