Data Vocabulary has been discontinued

Post by rumana777 »

Many users received information in the Google Search Console last week that Google has now stopped supporting Data Vocabulary. In a separate blog post, Google explains that it will no longer support schema after Data Vocabulary. Schema.org and data-vocabulary.org were previously used to mark certain types such as opening times, people, organizations, etc.

With the help of websites such as schema.org and data-vocabulary.org and the marking using microdata, JSON-LD and RDFa, structured data could be stored on your own website in order to make basic information more easily accessible to Google and thus promote potential SERP display with rich snippets .

Featured snippets are also known as "position 0" because this rcs data south africa small information box appears before all other search results on the search results page. Now Google has made an adjustment: If a website is shown at the top as a featured snippet, it will not be shown a second time in the list of search results for a search query.

This is to avoid the same URL appearing twice in a search results page. It may be that the URL in question appears on the second page, but Google says that this is not the case. However, Google emphasizes that with so-called "deduplication" only the featured snippet as an information panel in front of the search results and the exact same URL in the search results should be avoided. Results such as video formats should still be available. This change has been implemented globally for all languages. In this way, Google wants to present ten unique results on the first page in the SERPs .
